Educational Courses Conducted by CME
The Center for Medical Education (CME) has started Masters in Medical Education (MMEd) course from 2004-05. The objective of this course are to help the teachers of medical profession to strengthen the knowledge and skill in teaching learning and assessment procedure of the students, provide knowledge and skill in the development of instructional material and curriculum planning and provide necessary knowledge and skill to conduct research in medical education. This course is also designed to develop necessary skills among the students for proper educational management and faculty development activities. Those eligible for admission have to be MBBS/BDS graduate or have a master degree in any field of social or Biological Sciences. At least one year teachers teaching experience in health institute is required. There is a provision for admission of five local students and five students from abroad. Three local students were admitted in the first phase of MMEd and five local students have gained admission in the second batch in 2006. The Centre for Medication Education also conducted several short course, in medical education on demand for the teachers of different health institute from home and abroad. In 2023 two students have been selected for one year duration diploma course.

• In 20th Batch of MMEd course (Session-2023-24) the numbers of qualified students are 06 (Six), among them 04 (Four) are government candidates and 02 (Two) are non-government candidates.
• In Diploma course (Session-2023-24) the numbers of qualified students are 02 (Two).
